SIGIC: 25 Maj 2022, 5.30 pm

Moderator: Alexandra Archetti Stølen (Oslo World)

Alexandra Archetti Stølen’s CV is one of the most impressive around: over 25 years’ experience in cultural management in her native Norway, director of the Oslo World Festival since 2006, co-founder of the Beirut & Beyond international festival, organiser of the ‘Our Neighborhood’ Festival (staged in psychiatric centres across Norway), and president of the European Forum of Worldwide Music Festivals (FWMF) from 2011 to 2018. She works as a mentor and protector of freedom of expression and gender equality. She is also a tango dancer and has performed on stages all over the world. The 2019 edition of Oslo World, which took ‘utopia’ as its theme, invited professionals from all over the world to create a utopian manifesto to stimulate ideas and strategies for the fight against discrimination, racism, corruption and inequality in the cultural sector, with particular focus on gender equality and social inclusion.
