The 42nd edition of the international festival Druga godba 2026 places a strong focus on contemporary approaches to music creation, distribution and listening. The festival takes a critical stance towards the increasingly commercial logic of digital platforms, while opening up questions about the future of live performance and the notion of authorship in an era of rapid technological change.
In this context, the opening of the festival features a public round table dedicated to the future of the music industry. The discussion will address the increasingly marginal position of musicians on streaming platforms, working conditions and visibility in digital environments, as well as the question of authorship in the age of artificial intelligence.
The round table will be conducted in the Slovene language.
