Druga Godba at Ment 

 

Druga Godba is joining forces with Ment Ljubljana for the first time! A festival of music discovery focused on local, regional and European scenes, in 2022 MENT returns to its traditional three-day format with an international conference, which regularly attracts hundreds of professionals from all over Europe. The bill for the Druga Godba stage includes the Slovenian bluesman Niko Novak, Japanese tribal-psych trio KUUNATIC, Belgian jazz fusion act Echoes of Zoo and Irish psychedelic dance music selector DJ Fitz. 

Ment will take place in Ljubljana between 8 and 10 June 2022.

 

KUUNATIC is a thrilling Tokyo-based tribal-psych trio bolstered by diverse global sonics and powerful female vocals. Drawing on the members’ different musical and cultural perspectives, their music explores ritual drumming, pulsing bass lines, atmospheric keyboard sounds and traditional Japanese instruments. The band’s main musical concept, fantasy, strongly informs their debut album “Gate of Klüna”, which came out last October on the Ljubljana-based label Glitterbeat Records. Produced by Tim DeWit (Gang Gang Dance), the record reveals a mesmerizing soundworld that transcends genres and succeeds in being both boldly experimental and wildly catchy.
