Druga Godba are joining forces with MENT Festival, which is celebrating its 8th edition and will take place in Ljubljana between 8 and 10 June 2022 across 15 locations. Druga Godba will curate one concert evening as part of the festival.
A festival of music discovery focused on local, regional and European scenes, in 2022 MENT returns to its traditional three-day format with an international conference, which regularly attracts hundreds of professionals from all over Europe. This year’s programme, spread across 15 locations, includes more than 80 acts from 25 countries. For the grand Wednesday opening at Kino Šiška, the acclaimed American singer-songwriter and producer Yves Tumor will make his Slovenian debut as the main act of the night. Among the many exciting acts performing on Thursday and Friday, there’s the Ukrainian hip-hop icon Alyona Alyona, UK singer-songwriter Martha Skye Murphy and French avant-pop artist Oklou.
The bill for the Druga Godba stage includes Slovenian urban bluesman Niko Novak, Japanese tribal-psych trio KUUNATIC, Belgian jazz fusion act Echoes of Zoo and Irish psychedelic dance music selector DJ Fitz.
As part of the collaboration with Druga Godba, there will be an interview with festival director Bogdan Benigar, who is celebrating his 30th year in this role.
